Default building, white or bisque blinds?

Hi we are building a new home in Sanibel, however, doing it long distance which is hard. I would like to know if anyone has a recommendation about blinds, would you recommend white or bisque? We are building an Iris. Any input would be very much appreicated. Thank you.

My recommendation would be for the white. You have white molding, correct?

I had white plantation shutters installed in my Iris and they match the molding. Looks great!

We have a circa 2005 Amelia, and all of the moldings were painted bisque according to the touch-up paint cans TV gives you. We were faced with the same dilemma for blinds and matched our e blinds to the bisque molding. I suspect there's no right or wrong answer to your question, just a difference of opinion. The bisque is white, it's just not bright white.

We also have an Iris and bought the bisque blinds for the windows except we will be buying our own vertical blinds for the two sliders. We recently purchased a brand new set from J.C. Penney's for our kitchen in NJ so we are taking that with us. Bali is the brand. So we called J.C. Penney and they still have that pattern we selected. When we move in to Sannibel second week of July we will order the second vertical for the larger slider. Good luck!!! Patti

Thanks Patti, From all the responses, I probably can't make a mistake either way. We ordered ours from 48 Hour Blinds and he is going to put them in before we close on July 2nd. We are on lot 21 on Vandenberg Court, but won't be there full time until the fall. Hope we meet up. Linda

You would expect with 15K+ members on TOTV, that someone would have a "professional" opinion on this subject! For example, if you go with quarter-round molding for laminate flooring, decorators suggest matching the baseboard color rather than the floor. You would expect there would also be a rule-of-thumb for blind color.

Hi Linda,

It is always nice to meet other new Iris owners. I just found out in my neighborhood, my niece's husband's aunt just bought a new house around the block from us. So she wants us to go over and introduce ourselves to them. They just moved into Sannibel neighborhood a month ago and she has an Iris too. Small world.
