Anna Maria is the prettiest part of Anna Maria Island. Bradenton Beach is very narrow, but the beach is nice and there is diagonal parking all along the beach. You shouldn't have a problem finding parking. The Anna Maria end is wider, more upscale, with more shops. There is plenty of public access, with parking along the streets. Again, parking shouldn't be a problem now. Holmes Beach is between the two. We didn't go out to dinner much when we spent two winters there, because it is mobbed in the snowbird season. If you think TV is bad, you ain't seen nothin'. one time it took us an hour to drive two miles. Mostly we went out to lunch, and there was a place on the southeast side of the bridge at the Bradenton Beach end that had a covered deck, was kind of on the water, and served terrific seafood.

I'd be interested in knowing your driving time if you go. There's a dentist there that I absolutely love. He gives you glasses that play cable tv stations and has a machine that does root canals in a half hour. I had a root canal while watching House Hunters. I'd like to make a day trip out of it and go back to him.

At the Northern end of Anna Maria island is a great restaurant where they have an open deck where they have live music and they run a pool has to owe will come the closest to sunset. The restaurant is owned by the son of a former Governor of Florida.
There is another great restaurant just before you cross the bridge that connects to Cocina Beach (SP?). The restaurant runs a boat trip that comes with your meal that will take you up to The Sunshine bridge and back. There is live music on the boat and a lot of fun.

Names of the Restaurants would be most helpful.

The Beachhouse is our favorite, and we go often. We drive down sometimes just to have lunch there. The Sandbar is good as well.

I had a great endocrinologist that I used to go to in Bradenton and she was so fabulous that it was worth the trip. It took 1 1/2 hours each way and then I would have lunch with family and return later in the afternoon. It was a long day but well worth it.

Rayman, there's a truly great Endodontist here in TV who does the best root canals I've ever experienced. Can supply her name if you would like, just can't locate it at the moment.

Here he is: Dr Yatros
3909 E Bay Dr # 205 Holmes Beach, FL 34217
(941) 778-2204
I'm sure he's not one of your cheaper dentists, but that was the easiest root canal I ever had. You pay up front, and they submit the insurance claim for you. But that seems to be how it's done a lot here in FL.
