Default The storm is only 4 hours old and its not looking good

For those who are being negative on Florida, be thankful for the environment that the big storms in FL are all warm when you lose electricity. That's one of the reasons we are moving down as soon as we can

This picture attached is of 8 AM outages in MA, with the wind 30 mph gusting to 50 mph,
and then near zero freezing weather right behind the rain for flash freeze ice rinks

I got out of there 30+ years ago just because of the weather. I do remember fondly, hikes in the Harold Parker State Forest with my family.

Thanks for the memories. Stay warm

Had the highway live cams up for Minneapolis - St. Paul freeway system last night and early this morning. They resembled a giant pinball game: vehicles spinning out of control, careening into medians and ditches, etc. etc.

Takes a couple of good storms up there each year before people stop being stupid.

I’m actually kind of disappointed, got the wood stove burning and the generator is ready to be fired up, with lots of ethanol free gas ready to provide our own electricity for several days, and we didn’t loose power. It’s 50 degrees out with heavy rain and high winds right now, but the temperature is going to drop to about 5 degrees tonight. Looks like we will still have a white Christmas, but instead of a foot of fluffy powder, we will have about 3 inches of treacherous white ice. Oh well, the most important thing is that the weather looks good to go for our drive to the Villages right after Christmas : )

From there myself and I know exactly what you mean, but I have 4 wheel drive.... :-)

Slow and steady wins the race....

Can we share our global warming with Siberia? Asking for a friend.
