Never heard of it. What’s in it? I use sage and poultry seasoning in my stuffing.

sjpdjp 11-11-2020 07:17 AM

Amazon carries it.

Hidnscreen 11-11-2020 07:19 AM

They have it on Amazon if you can’t find it locally.

Bell poultry seasoning

Bells is probably sold out due to COVID. So many folks are not traveling to family this year and cooking.

Kgcetm 11-11-2020 08:15 AM

Consider Amazon.

Sassxu 11-11-2020 08:35 AM

Publix has it.

I use it for my stuffing and cannot find it this year.
It comes in a small yellow box with a turkey on it.
Thanks!

I buy it every year in Publix. I usually stock up because you can’t always find it all year. My stuffing wouldn’t be the same without it

Thanksgiving stuffing would not be right without Bells. It’s in all the supermarkets where our home is up north. If you can’t find it in Florida, it’s always available from Amazon. A tablespoon of Bells will also help enhance the flavor of your gravy stock. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving : )

I find it every year in Publix

It can be found at Publix around thanksgiving only but the fresh market usually has it all the time

Found in Publix this morning.

Don’t look in seasonings. Front of store in Thanksgiving area. Canned Yams etc found on side

mrsscamp131 11-11-2020 09:45 AM

Publix has it. Stores around here only carry it during the holiday season. I usually stock up.

It must have gold in it❗️ $12.98 for 3 ounces at Amazon. Yikes.

When preparing turkey to roast, is it the American way to put the stuffing inside the rear end, and sausage meat at neck end, cover bird with bacon as many do in UK?
Do you cook stuffing/sausage meat in separate dish/tray?

We call it Turkey Dressing, not stuffing, and it isn't stuffed since someone in the family read something about Salmonella. We cook it as a side casserole and I have prepared three different kinds...and served them all as choices. We had a son in law who liked cornbread, husband liked oyster and most who liked celery onion. NONE had sausage, but I am open to it. Sounds great. When I reached adulthood, all Thanksgivings were at MY house so I have no clue what other people eat.

Keep suggestions coming.

P.S. Does anyone put giblets in the dressing/stuffing? I boiled them for years and added them, now I give them to the kitties and put cooked ahead chicken in the dressing/stuffing.

it's a blend of various seasoning, including thyme & sage, like you already use. it's got this kind of distinct flavor, that once you have it, you'd probably add it again year after year. it's the flavor of Thanksgiving:icon_wink:
