Exclamation Bombing Anniversary

On this date in 1995 a truck bomb was detonated in front of the federal office building in Oklahoma City, killing 168 people, including my friend Alan Whicher, who had worked for me in the Washington Field Office of the Secret Service in the past. Alan was also my partner in the car when we drove John Hinckley, Jr. to the brig at Quantico after his arraignment for shooting President Reagan.

At the time of the explosion, Alan was talking to his wife on the telephone.

We must never forget. It is obvious you are still in pain. My prayer is for you to have less pain.

168 died including 19 children, and 700+ injured. Please say a prayer for the victims and survivors (the survivors also include EMT's, local Police Officer's and Sheriff's Deputies, Firemen, Armed Forces personnel, Federal Agents [including my wife who was there for many months after the bombing] and all First Responders - these people have also suffered emotionally).

Rot in prison, Terry Nichols and burn in hell, Timothy McVeigh.
