CV and race riots pale in comparison to a good Brat vs Dog discussion. May the best "heart-stopper" win. And in this corner weighing in at 7 ounces and 700 calories is .............the reigning champ......

So very true. Many years ago there was a great Abbott and Costello skit about mustard on a hot dog.

Default Frankfurts Hoffman's

If you want a awesome hot dog get Hoffman's Frankfurt German hot dog. Made in Syracuse NY. They come in a large bag at Aldi's. We've had parties and got lots 😁 of people hooked. They're know as Snappies too, because they snap when you bite into them. They also sell Coney's, but haven't seen them here yet. All meat ,not nitrate tubes. Sometimes they have them on sale .

Actually had those and liked them. My favorite is a Polish dog with kraut and brown mustard.
Lol. My kind of humor (or is that humour).

After I stop eating hottest dogs or bratty wursts, my health improves! So don't ever eat such processed meats!

Where I from in in Southeastern Mass, and RI, instead of brats, one of the more popular sandwiches is a Portuguese sausage called chourico or linguica. It's served on a crusty Portuguese roll called a pop, and I like mine with sautéed onions and mustard, although you can get them topped like a hot dog, or even a hamburger with lettuce, tomato and onion . Publix sells Gaspar's brand, but I buy natural casings and stuff my own, and then smoke them on a pellet grill. I try to do them in 25 lb patches and freeze them.

I occasionally see natural casing dogs with the Publix brand. They're respectable. A few years ago, I used to see natural casing Sabrett dogs in Publix once in a while. If you don't mind driving to Brooksville, the Sam's Club there regularly stocks 3 pound packages of Sabrett natural casing dogs, 7 to 9 per pound.
