Default Crossville, Tennessee info wanted

My husband and I are planning to spend some time during the summer at Fairfield Glade, Crossville, Tennessee. We are hoping to get out of the Florida heat but am concerned about the heat and humidity in Crossville. Is there anyone out there that is familiar with Crossville and could comment on the temperatures there.

go to the weatherchannel.com and search for Crossville and then look for averages. Should answer you question.

My wife and I live there during the 6 months we are not here. It's a beautiful place about 2500 ft above sea level and the temp is usually 5 degrees cooler than Nashville and Knoxville. If you call my wife Monica she could tell you anything you want to know.

I used to visit Crossville in the summers back in the 60's when my inlaws lived there. It was a very small town then but I remember the summers being quite hot. Not as hot as here though, and the nights were cooler there.

I have visited there in July and it was hot but not like Florida. You sit up on the Cumberland Plateau so it was nice when we were there. The rest of the time it was October and April. Nice then too.

we have a home in the mountains of TN just north of Knxville....about a 100 miles from Crossville...elevation 2200 feet.

We have been going back each summer for 20 years. The last 5 summers have been hotter than in TV!!!! A couple of those 5 years had more days over 95 than TV!!!!

We don't go to TN to get away from the heat of FL....ya just don"t get away from it there.
