I have no problem with a Black Mayors Association. A white one would sound like something out of the Jim Crow law South. Cannot just ignore 500 years or so of history.

Colin Kaepernick did something controversial, but it was not un-American - NFL

A different take on Colin Kaepernick.

African-American athletes are often asked (unfairly, perhaps) to speak out on social issues and, well, Kaepernick just did. If you don't like what the man did or said, that's your prerogative. But telling him that what he said and did was un-American is to lose sight of what it means to be an American.

In some corners of the globe, Kaepernick might face prison time or worse for publicly "disrespecting" his country. Only the quarterback didn't disrespect the United States. While pointing out its fatal flaws -- socioeconomic and justice systems still tilted against African-Americans after all these years -- Kaepernick unwittingly reminded the world that the U.S. is still a pretty damn good place to live.

Can't have another day of disrespect to Our Country. Can't ignore the feelings of 98% of the citizens who do not think this creep acted in a proper manner. Those who want respect must give or show respect.

It is amazing to me how some will always defend anyone that has anti- American and anti-police views. Kaepernick will probably be cut from the roster simply because of diminishing talent. Now when he is cut he will say its revenge and racial because of his political views. That is total BS.
