Xfinity "Basic " internet is $25 @ Mo "funding source required; and "paperless account management"".
That gets you 60 Meg bandwidth, and 1.2Terra Byte ceiling.
Go to their physical store, INSIST on "Basic Internet only"..and "downgrade" to Basic internet.
Have had this for over a year and is totally adequate for multiple streaming feeds.
We have 4 computers, 12 Ip cameras, 2 Tablos, 2 cellphones and multiple Tvs using the connection fulltime.
Absolutley no bandwidth problems.

You are a smart person!

Excellent suggestion but almost sounds too good to be true.
I will check it out.

Anybody else using this basic plan?

Same speed and cost, in fact $20 last year. No problems with speed, multiple units on at the same time. People throw away money. Buy your own router at Walmart.

Blaming Comcast for an outage caused by a 3rd party cutting a cable is like blaming your car's manufacturer when another person rear ends your vehicle.

No I don't live on the internet, have a bad head cold and can't sleep.

Quantum Fiber. Even higher speed (1GB - 1,000MB) + Wifi 6 modem at $65/month. That includes all taxes and fees.

Yup...And it makes it hurt less when the service goes down :)

Comcast excessive prices and service problems are compliments of elected officials who do nothing about it just like what’s going on with our house insurance.

Govt has very limited control over pricing we are a capitalist economy. However if govt would allow and encourage more competition pricing would be lower for both.

Could stop allowing roofing companies to manipulate the system by making insurance companies responsible for new roofs when it is simply old age.

Xfinity Outages

Have had two occurrences in Bonita Village with no explanation - once lasting almost a whole day or so.

I deleted my response to the roofing comments......had nothing to do with the thread.....I almost joined the hitch hike!

I've been very happy with the quality of service from Xfinity. This is coming from someone who has been using Verizon Fios in Virginia for years, and who has in the past given Xfinity a try more than once before the Fios was installed in the neighborhood.
I didn't expect Xfinity in The Villages to be this good. In fact, it's every bit as good as the Fios service in Virginia. I roll my own network by using Google Mesh network routers and Tivo's with cable cards for set-top boxes.
