Let's put everything into the proper perspective with this. The murder was in 2006. The killing was by drug dealers from Ocala and they were friends of the daughter of the woman who was killed - who was also living at the house. It was a planned home invasion. This is a planned event and very likely was co-planned by the daughter even though she had been portrayed as a victim. It was not a random event.

Also, no one on this forum is disputing someone's right to own a gun but the dispute is whether a pistol is NEEDED to carry in The Villages. That planned home invasion has nothing to do with concealed weapon carrying.

Yes, our slice of Paradise is just about 100% safe.
