Default Golf Outside TV

Does anyone play "off campus" during Jan/Feb? If you do, which courses do you like? Thanx

We've played several times at Baseline off Basline Road in Bellview. It's a short but beautiful 18 hole course. 3484 yards, par 61. It's got a big waterfall hole played in the front and back on holes either side and has a "19th" island fun hole. We haven't been there yet this year, but the landscaping and conditions were always great. Plays more like a northeastern course than Florida course. It was owned by a professional hockey player, Arlie Parker. I presume he is still there. Lots of orange trees so you can snack with fresh tree ripened fruit along the way. Have fun.

We've played at Continental. I think its off Rt. 466A. Its in beautiful shape, and they have specials - I think it was tee off at 1:00 pm and paid $30 or $35 iincluded the cart.

El Campeon at Mission Inn in Howey-in-the Hills (about a 35 minute drive South thru Leesburg) Looks like playing golf in heaven.

There are even organized groups (dozens play each week) who golf outside TV at courses that are less than a 60 min. ride.

I think they play each Wed and Friday at various courses.

I played Stonecrest several times. Beautiful course, in great shape and slightly less price than TV.
Played Water Oaks and Miona Lake. Both a lot cheaper but very rough shape. Not worth the time spent.
