Default Crazyness

I am 70 years old and there is no doubt that I look over 21, but while I was in Massachusetts the last month , I had to show my ID at several places to get a bottle of wine. When I lived there, I did not have to show my ID to vote. To vote, all you had to do was state your address and name and as long as that name and address was on the records you can vote (as long as no one else had already voted that name/address). So I needed an ID to drink but not to vote.

But as I listen to current events, many state that it is an imposition to require someone to get an ID to vote.

Then why can't I state the same relative to buying a bottle of wine?

It could be a new local rule someone dreamed up.

I know that a few years ago, Kindred Spirits started asked for my ID and that was the reason. After a couple of times, they stopped asking but you could see on the receipt, ID verified without us showing one.

Liquor laws concerning out of state ID's - Boston Forum - TripAdvisor

Default ID required....

Because, you cant sue a poll worker but you can sue a liquor store for underage sales. But, if you ask me, its a bit ridiculous to require an obviously older person to produce an ID to prove your over 21.

Guess that shows what is more important to our leaders in charge. Voter fraud is okay but help us please if we are 55 and want to buy a beer.
