After moving here for just a few months my wife has been attending a Line Dancing class and very frustrated that there are over 180 people in the class and she was wondering if there might be someone who might want to teach a smaller class or tutor instructions.
I can understand that with that many people in only ( 1 ) class each week it must be hard to learn anything without slowing down everyone. Anyone else have this problem or have any ideas as to how better to have a smaller class?? You've always helped and once again trying to get some ideas.... Thanks |

She could always enroll in a class offered through the lifelong learning college. Enrollment should be limited to a manageable number. There is a fee but that comes with the benefit of smaller class size and more individual attention.
This is a temporary phenomena...come April, these free rec center classes will have far fewer participants and will stay that way til next January.

The twins, who teach ultra beginner from 12:00-1:00 on Monday's at Colony Cottage, provide step sheets of the dances they teach for 10 cents each.
They also have a DVD basic line dance tutorial for $10. You can also go to http://www.kickit.to/ld/Search.html and type in the names of the dance and print out your own step sheets. The Villages Line Dance Website is http://villagelinedancer.com Click on "classes" for more information You can find many of the dances demonstrated online through You Tube at http://www.youtube.com Do a search for line dances. EX: "electric slide" +line dance Best advice is go early to the rec. center and get on the first or second row. Be patient, as you will learn a little bit more each time you go. |
