Default Daylight saving time?

What’s fix? Stay same, eliminate it, or adjust?

IMO should have just moved it back 1/2 hour and leave it at that. IMO that way get 1/2 hour on each end ?

My thought for years. Politicians overthink things.

Who cares? To me changing time twice a year is about as stressful and life threating as an upcoming warm front or cold front or a rain shower or the annual attempt to change our official Florida state bird.

It is a shame they can't make a simple choice for the people.

We do need to stop changing time twice a year. It really messes up my tee times.

I would prefer not to have to change the clocks — some of them are hard to get at, and then on appliances, I have to dig out the manuals. Try to understand the original Japanese type instructions, especially on the rice cooker, and the timer does matter on these things because I need to know when the food is gonna be ready.

I vote for Standard Time with no clock changes. I’m retired, I don’t really care what time the sun comes up or whether it stays light enough to get in a round of golf. Constant Standard time keeps the light in the morning for school kids, eliminates changing the clocks, and keeps the sun more towards overhead at noon in the middle of the timezone.

Zero issues Fall back…it’s the spring forward that interferes with my schedule. All but one clock is automatically changed, so I just leave it.

The cat on the other hand will not change eating schedule…so she is a definite No more DST.

IMO to please both sides of the isle move it 1/2 hour and end it. For ones that don’t care nobody cares about them. They are not the problem…

Daylight saving time (DST) is the practice of advancing clocks by one hour during warmer months so that evening daylight lasts longer.

So why one hour? Why not 2 or 1/2 hour? Or who even thinks they’re in charge STOP talking about it or threatening changes?

I am 100-% for permanent DST! An hour more of sunlight later gets you out for that one more walk of vitamin D, or motivates you to go out and do something, ANYthing, instead of darkness and people becoming lazy couch potatoes.. It’s been proven that extreme early darkness brings on depression.

I'm all for STANDARD time, all the time. It's well documented that getting up early and going to bed early is the healthiest for us. Also much easier to get kids up for school with early sun, and to bed when it's not still light out at night. I'm all for early exercising and early to bed. STANDARD TIME!

I believe there is data that show darker mornings (DST in the winter months) negatively impact children due to natural circadian rhythm and walking/standing on the street in the dark.

An extra hour of daylight in the summer does nothing good for me. DST means my morning walks might start in the dark and it is hotter in the squares listening to music at 8PM.
