I feel sorry for people that don't drink because when they first wake up in the morning that is the best that they will feel all day.

I don't view drinking as a stand alone task, accomplishment or act.
I drink different wines with different parts of a meal.

Having a beer with something that goes with it is always more enjoyable, however not much beat a crack your teeth cold beer after a spell in the heat.

The most enjoyable drinks to me are the after dinner drinks and especially the ones that go with a good cigar!

I too have moderated in my maturity and drink on all national holidays and I think this might be national peanut week!

On the serious side, those of us in favor of drinking are not advocating a 190 proof ever clear IV in A vain, but having a drink or three with friends. Remember the reference to extreme for or against anything. I.e. Do all in moderation. That should include your tolerance of others.

Believe it or not I only drink water when bowling.
That's cuz you don't want to spill your beer

Actually in my case that's not true. When I get up I'm often stiff & sore and that melts away as the day goes by. My "prime time" is sorta-kinda Noon-5pm.

It would be the one that OD's on the alcohol as they have the best chance of dying. Hard to believe, but if you treated addicts you would see this is the practice. Again, everyone who drinks is not going to OD or get drunk and ruin their family but a large percentage do and therefore each should manage their drinking closely. No, I don't drink but I don't make judgements on who do nor do I think less of them. I respect everyones right to drink but don't over look the risks each face and the impact on the family who must deal with those that exceed limits. Humor has no place for the person who is fighting the need to stop or the one who is on his/her way to a Rehab for treatment. There is nothing funny about alcohol. One other point..Take a sponge and put it in the sun and let it really dry out. Take it outside and squeeze it and see it crumble like sand. That is the liver after more than moderate use of alcohol. THere is no cure. Knowlege is important !!
Good information and I too do not drink, never have.

Many, many, problems have long been identified with even casual drinking, most if not all alcoholics started as casual social drinkers, but you really have to know your audience to know how information will likely be taken....or not.
