This will be an eye opener for many people but posting pictures can really put you at "risk".
Most young people are "tech" savvy to a point but they may not be aware of this feature -- if they were they wouldn't be posting pictures of themselves in compromising situations. Before you share photos online, watch this video - YouTube No need for paranoia just be aware of the potential. |

That is unbelievable - nothing, and I mean nothing is not available for anyone looking for information about you. Seems like it could be a great tool for law enforcement or PI's.

I wish I could figure how to turn that off on my phone. I can't even find the settings they are talking about. That is very scary. Especially since I was once the victim of a stalker and I never want to relive THAT again. Jeez, will the criminal world ever stop being smarter than just regular people? I can't keep up.

This is not just limited to phones, many new cameras have this same type of info attached to the photos, especially, if the camera supports GPS, or a Bluetooth link to, you guessed it, your GPS enabled phone.......
I agree with previous posting, just be aware....and use common sense. |

Before you take any photos make sure all GPS settings are disabled. That should eliminate tracking on the photo.
