Another $300 that will help with the bar bill but I’m not spending it a Sawgrass!

Well guess if we reduce our food bill by eating lots of beans and rice we can use the extra money for another cruise next year

BTW did you not like the other thread on this?

The 2023 increased costs for health care and home and auto insurance will EASILY offset any increase in payments.

What increase in health care are you referring to ? The Medicare premium for 2023 is going down $5.20/mo. My United Health PPO plan deductibles and out of pocket maximums are also going down. Home and auto I have not received yet.

I've noticed that many medicare advantage plans are sticking at their $144.80 giveback. Despite last years $170 and this years $164 amounts. Also I perceived a 'push' to get many of us seniors involved in the state medicaid program. You can realize the $170 per month giveback but only if you 'play the game' and sign up for the 'welfare' medicaid plan too.

I paid into medicare over the years, I want no part of medicaid.

Thoughts from anyone ?

I read that they are predicting that private insurance premiums will rise 8.7%. My SS will go up 7.7% Oh well, the gov giveth and the gov taketh.
Correction: My SS will go up 8.7% but folks that retired from the Gov. FERS system will get 7.7% and those that retired with the old CERS will get a COLA increase of 8.7% in their pension.
