The difference is obviously not understood between revolution against a tyrannical king and a pandemic that is killing thousands in this country alone.

Step back and take a breath. First of all churches are just buildings made of mortar and wood. You don't need to be in a building full of people who could potentially kill you with a virus they are carrying. You can read the Bible at home, you can pray at home, you can watch a service on your tv. You don't need to be in a church building. Think about the clergy and their families. Do they want to expose their families to this awful disease. We need to concur this disease and packing people into a building will only further the assault we are under. Second: Wal-Mart also provides not only food but has a pharmacy inside its' building which makes it an essential business. I have seen much smaller grocery stores still open, because again, they are essential. The stimulus package, when in finally arrives, will get the small business back on their feet. This type of setback happens whenever there is a disaster not just this virus. The real question is: How often do people make it a point to shop at only small retail stores? These small business will also get no interest loans to help get them up and running again. A well run small business if handled properly will have enough backup assets to hold them for a few months just in case. So yes, we do need Wal-Mart stores, Targets and the like. Third: Government doesn't always get it right because there are far to many cooks in the kitchen. Our governor could do a better job in not playing politics and getting what The Villages really needs, a huge testing site for all of our residents to have access to. Being a research site doesn't cut it.

Too many cooks in the kitchen??? Open your eyes: the kitchen is empty.

No, both wrong. It was 3/5 of a person. It was a compromise between representatives of northern and southern states revolving around power sharing (votes/representation) based on population.

You must be from New Hampshire ("Live free or die"). My apologies, I just couldn't resist the opening.

New York actually. Long Island specifically. No need for apologies. New Hampshire is gorgeous and I often wish I was in that neck of the woods.
