Default HBO "The Last Truck"

A true taste of humanity....what happens when something you believed in and worked for is taken away....you built this with your hands, sweat, your heart....you made friends as close as family....some closer.... At the age of 9 I recalled helicopters airlifting & lowering giant pieces of equipment over huge buildings.....I watched from my bicycle....what's this I thought....turned out to be a Frigidare plant in the making. Not sure how long it lasted....didn't matter....I was too young to care other than to realize that many friends had parents that worked there....Then it was gone....but there was a light at the end of the tunnel. GM came - decided to build trucks in Moraine City, Ohio....What a boom to the local economy & beyond....new cars, homes, vacations....Then it happens again....Many employees were offered a buy-out....some not and having to re-invent their lives all over when they should be thinking of retirement time approaching....How fortunate many of us are to be on this side of the dirt, healthy, and blessed with family or friends.

If you have HBO, it can be seen by accessing on demand. It truely depicts the American factory worker. I had friends that worked for GM....I have friends in the military....and I will NEVER forget God & Country....something that seems to be fading.

Watch the show - if it doesn't move you....well....

God Bless America
