Default FYI: Just ordered hand sanitizer online

Just ordered hand sanitizer online from greengoo.com. $1.99 for 1 oz.
Green Goo Hand Sanitizer 1oz Squeeze Tube

First time I’ve ordered from them. Don’t know what product will be like.

I also made some myself, but hard to find rubbing alcohol these days.

There was a shipment of a case of hand sanitizer last week at Publix, it was on the shelves when I came in to work around mid-day, and was mostly all still there when I punched in for my shift around 15 minutes later. It was $5.99 for 8 ounces, made by a company called artnaturals. Unscented, 62% ethyl alcohol with aloe, hemp seed, broccoli extract, and a bunch of other weird things that make me wonder why they'd put that stuff in there, but it's all harmless so who really cares.

It's plant-based, and has vitamin E and jojoba so less damaging to your skin than Purell, at least.

I don't know how often those shipments come in since I work mid-day and the shelves are -usually- empty by then. But it's something to consider. They're not impossible to find, just has to be a matter of timing.

Thanks. It was just easier to order. My husband is in charge of in-person shopping these days, and he goes when he’s ready.

Does anyone know how I can buy a face mask? I have almost no food and need to go to the store. I was able to get gloves, but I will not buy face masks made in China.

You can make a facemask with a tee shirt. You only need a scissors, no other tools or materials needed. Cut around 6 inches off the bottom. Take that cut piece, and cut into the sides around an inch from the top, and one from the bottom, a little more than halfway through.

Snip those strips you just cut at the top and bottom.

Now cover your face with the unsnipped bit, and use the snipped ends to tie over your head and around your neck.

That's it.

I am having the same problem. I ordered 4 masks from a company that works from the U.S. and it was suppose to be here in 6 days (not the best but I have none). Ordered on the 4th and still not here. I received an email on the 13th stating they were shipped and should arrive in 4-7 BUSINESS days. Totally ridiculous!!! People tell me to make them, it's easy! I don't sew. These are probably the same people who don't COOK... at least I do cook! . I love how all of the sudden they tell us to wear a mask and there are none around to buy! Makes my head spin

A fellow Villager who has an embroidery business is now making face masks and just started advertising on the site...just wanted to share. Take care, TOTV staff

Again: no sewing skill necessary. You ONLY NEED A TEE SHIRT AND A SCISSORS. That is all. Nothing else.

The Gilded Matilda in Wildwood sells them....google them for phone # as they're closed but if you leave a message she'll call you back and make arrangements. If you belong to NextDoor...put it out on that too as some people are making them.
