I have lost one of my garage door remotes
The opener itself is a Lift-Master from the late 1990's with a red "learn" button, and the remote is a Lift-Master Security+ Do you have an old Lift-Master Security+ remote lying around that you no longer use, which I can try to re-program for my opener? Or do you know if Wal-Mart sells a "generic" programmable remote? Thank you |

Home Depot has them. I think most use the "HomeLink" system. I had a real old sears opener up north and a few years ago mounted a module at the opener, wired to the button contacts. Then I programed my visor remote and a seperate remote.

"Genie" brand has a module you hang on the ceiling and intall two small wires to the back of you old opener. You can sometimes find it with 2 remotes. One you install, you can buy Genie remotes. Installed on our old openers up north, worked great. Cost about $50 at Home Depot.
