Default Garcia is acting like a spoiled child

He messed up the shot and then childishly blamed it on Tiger. He deserves a real bad round today.

Agree. Act like an adult and take responsibility for your actions. He does not set a good example.

This has always been a problem with me. You need absolute quiet when the golfers tee off but you can allow a crowd to explode with noise and enthusiasm when a oolfer hits a great shot or makes a great putt. Does anyone think about the other golfers?

Tiger gets upset when he hears a camera clock.

I play on the executive courses and I am concentrating on a putt and just as I am in the motion, someone on the next green starts clapping and yelling. I jerk my putt and miss. Shouldn't I be upset?

I don't think Garcia is a jerk. He is playing for a lot more bucks than I am. He should be allowed to complain.

And how many times have we seen Tiger act like a spoiled child, sulking, cursing etc., etc.?

I don't think you should. Executive courses are for having fun by amateurs some of which know very little about the rules of golf. And Garcia is a professional and should not whine to the media for any reason. I have never heard Tiger cry to the media about anything. He holds up the spirit of the game.

Tiger does not have to whine. His caddy used to take the cameras away from the spectators and destroy them. Don't you remember that or do you have selective memory?

Garcia is well known as a cry baby and also for spitting in golf cups.

GROSS - and I think he has made some enemies with his whining.

Have to agree the executive course are for amateurs having fun - if you take the game that seriously you should probably be on championship courses anyway. Not saying we should be making noise on purpose, but sometimes a shout out is just necessary or a good belly laugh!

I am not talking about Tiger Woods. Try to stay with the OP. Garcia is and has always been a constant Whiner Cry Baby. Diverting the topic to what Tiger does wrong is for another Thread, but this one is to discuss Garcia's behaver. Tiger has done more for golf than almost anyone in the history of the Sport. Garcia has hurt the sport.

I think I heard a Sports commentator say this morning that Sergio is 0-6 when playing with Tiger in final-round play. If that's the case, maybe that's why Sergio isn't "friendly" to Tiger.

If I'm wrong with what I "think" was said, I stand corrected.

Nevertheless...Sergio is still jealous of the media attention Tiger gets (that Sergio doesn't get).

Well said and I think the media should share the stage with all players, but when they do not, it is the media and not the player that is at fault.

Unfortunately, Garcia's anger was directed at the wrong area. I am not a Tiger fan, but I did notice that when the crowd started clapping for him and making noise, that he pointed in Garcia's direction silently asking that they refrain since another golfer was getting ready to hit.

Something needs to be done about the crowds. Too many are on the course just to be heard on national television. It's really stupid to holler, "In the hole" on a par 5 tee shot. One guy in the crowd today was hollering, "Happy Mother's Day" to someone. How about some lessons for spectators about courtesy? Just because they pay the price of a ticket does not give them special "rights".

100 % agree. I also saw the point from Tiger indicating that Sergio was hitting, but he not the crowd received Sergio's wicked remarks. Well karma slapped Garcia in the last two holes so all is well at my household.

I was at the TPC tournament on Friday and spent quite a bit of time sitting in my chair by the 17th green. It was an amazing day and I really enjoyed seeing all the golfers up close.

Their level of golf on a course like Sawgrass makes what we do here in The Villages look like we are on a Putt-Putt course. When I score a 33 on Saddlebrook from the gold tees, I am real happy. Just amazing to see those PGA pros hit their drives!
