You might find it interesting to see a Gingerbread forest!. It's on display through New Years at the Oakdale Mall in Johnson City, NY and has about 36 Gingerbread people that were created by area artists in the Southern Tier of NY (Endicott, Owego, Vestal, Binghamton, Johnson City, Endwell > Oh and of course The Villages). Each one is unique and very different. They range in size from 3 feet to 6 feet and some were done by some very famous artists that I think you will recognize.

My wife, Joan did the Snow Queen and she belongs to most of the artist clubs in the Villages. We are getting ready to arrive at The Villages in early December but unfortunately the Snow Queen won't be coming with us. They are being auctioned off and the proceeds will go to the Discovery Center as a donation. She has traveled around the city a little and now lives at the Oakdale Mall in Johnson City, NY. We actually miss her, she was on our Kitchen table for over a month being created and started to seem like part of our family. But at least now we can sit down at the kitchen table to eat with a little more room!
