Default Glow Golf

We just played glow golf for the first time up here in Michigan. Never played in the dark before but we had a ball (no pun intended)! Has anyone played golf in the dark before?

They put glow sticks at the tee boxes, on the flags, and in the holes. You use a clear ball with a glow stick in the middle. The balls travel about 10 yards shorter than a normal golf ball. We could use a flashlight to put in our tee and line up our shot, but had to turn off the flashlight when we hit the ball. Takes a little longer than usual but it sure was fun!

They have it at Saddlebrook golf course here in The Villages. You can get the details there.

That is great. Will have to check into it once we get back down there. I thought they might not have it down there because of the gators....

Thanks!

We played at Saddleback last spring. It was a lot of fun. It was as dark as the inside of your mouth because it was overcast and raining a bit. The only thing that concerned me a bit was if someone stepped on a snake of fell over a gator. You could not have seen either because it was so dark. For the people who say they have never seen a snake in the Villages, I saw four last winter, so I know that they are around. Mind you, if one was six miles away I would see it. Having said all of that, we will definately play again this winter.

We played a few years ago at Saddlebrook.....it was so dark....and it did take a while to adjust to the darkness, but we really had a good time. If someone's golf ball landed near the water on the course, it just stayed where it was....it was too dark to see if any reptiles that live in this area were around...

Lots of fun. Played at Chateau Elan near Road Atlanta race course. It helped that, for our group, they had a beer cooler at each tee box.

We have played night golf at Saddlebrook maybe four times and really enjoy it. The person who organizes our outings tells us to use a flashlight when walking from our carts to the tee box & greens but we can not use it when putting. We recently tried to schedule an outing before the end of the year and they were all booked up.
