Default investigating hundayai Sonata...

I'm asking if owners of this car can give me some feedback on pros and cons.

We currently have a Toyota Corolla.

Bought a 2014 Sonata 3 months ago. Did a trip up to Long Island over New Years VERY impressed with the ride, pickup and mileage. 38mpg up and back, very good in my book. The blue link navigation got us twisted around a few times so we bought a Garmin while on LI . The Blue Link stunk and was expensive to renew. Jenkins Leesburg service was very good on the 1st service which I needed after returning because of the mileage, not a vehicle problem. the backup camera is a great feature. The body style changed this year and Hyundai hasn't manufactured the mud guards yet. One word of caution the front nose is a little close to the ground so be careful in parking lots with the concrete curbs and stops or you'll be visiting the body shop.

We have a 2013 Hybrid and love it. Comfortable ride, lots of leg room, good gas mileage. Our trunk is smaller due to being a hybrid but plenty of room for 2 travelers. No complaints here.

I have a 2012 sonata and a 2013 elantra 2 dr. Both cars have a very nice ride and do get great gas milage. I also agree about the backup camera-very nice feature. My elantra has the built in navigation system-very very nice even updates itself! My only objection to both cars is about the nose being close to the ground-yes you do have to be careful in the parking lots with curbs in front of you. The bluetooth for the phone works very well. I am paying off my elantra and will be selling it as soon as I have the title as we do not need 2 cars here so if anyone is interested be on the lookout for a posting here on TOV.

I have a 2008 Sonata and absolutely love it! It runs perfect....so far, the only maintenance I had to do aside from the oil changes is replace the battery. 100 % reliable.

Been buying Hyundai's since 1997. Have a 2002 XG350 here with 150,000 miles, a 2002 Santa Fe (155,000) and a 2010 Sonata with 45,000 miles, both still in WI. Had a 1997 Sonata and finally donated to charity with 325,000 miles on it and it was still running. You will not find a better car with as many standard options for the money. I purchased cars for my companies sales team and switched from the Buick Park Ave to the Hyundai Azera and they were very satisfied!

Have owned two Sonatas and loved both of them. VERY smooth and quiet ride and very dependable. For the price, can't be beat!

We have had two sonatas and loved them both. We got ours from Jenkins. We first went to the one in Leesburg, and I couldn't talk the salesman down below 23k. I then went on-line to the Ocala Jenkins and was able to get the exact same car for a little under 19K. So, my suggestion would be to only deal with their on line department. The sales dept. and the online dept. have different priorities and I believe you can get a much better deal with the online folks.

Although I love the Hyundai Sonata (we have owned 2) and love the look of the new 2013, we bought a Toyota Camry. The Sonata seemed smaller inside and the interior finishes were better in the Camry. My husband can seat 2 large guys in the backseat comfortably and can put four sets of golf clubs in the trunk of our Camry. The service on our Camry at Phillips Toyota Scion in Leesburg has been awesome.

Have an 07 Limited. It had several annoying problems which my previous Camrys never had. Both visors broke even though hardly ever used. The air bag sensor in the passenger seat has failed multiple times. The power window motor in a rear window, extremely rarely used, died. The ride is still good. The mileage is about 30 on the highway, same as when new (6 cyl not 4). While the car is ok, next time not likely to be another Sonata.
