I received the following email today.

HELP DISASTER RELIEF: SUPPORT DISTRESSED AND MISPLACED PETS FROM THE DEVASTATING TORNADO IN MOORE, OK.

Buffalo Ridge Animal Hospital is now accepting donations to help the pets in Moore, OK who have been misplaced or distressed from the tornado. They are accepting all sorts of items such as food, treats, crates, medicines, blankets, bedding and toys.

Mr. & Mrs. Hanson will be pulling out in their RV and heading towards Moore, OK in 3 weeks to deliver goods.

Please drop off any items you wish to donate by Thursday, June 13th at Buffalo Ridge Animal Hospital. Thank you everyone for your support.

Thanks for this information. I have sent it out to pet lovers on my mailing list. I have two rescues, one from Katrina, who had heart worms when we adopted her. She was successfully treated, but the rescue told us that all the Louisiana dogs had heart worms because they received no medicine for many, many months. The same is probably true for fleas and ticks. You can pick up packages of Frontline at Sam's. I'm wondering if they are collecting any cash to help defer the cost of the trip. What wonderful people!!!
