Default Home Invasion/Robbery - suggestion

With so much talk about the robberies and thefts occurring in TV I thought this information might be useful.

Keep your car keys on your bedside table. If you are at home, or in bed, when someone enters your home press the panic button on the key ring, it will alert the car and the noise "may" help to get rid of the intruder. It's got to be worth a try.

Also, keep a can of wasp spray handy in the house. Should someone attempt to get into your home you can use this spray as a deterrent. If you don't think it would work try pressing the little red button and see how far that spray goes! Better than mace.

I'd like to "claim" them of my own, but I can't - they came in one of those emails and these stayed in my memory, much else does not!

My Mom heard about using the panic button on your key fob and mentioned it to an elderly friend that lived alone. Luckily, the friend was listening! A few days later her doorbell rang at midnight and she hit the panic button which was on her nightstand! She saw a someone dressed in black running from her house!

This didn't happen in TV but in our town of about 25,000 people!

Some of our villages are armed. We certainly have a lot in our village. I used to be shocked, this was entirely new to me, now I think.....hmmmmm.

My Kimber .45 is right next to my car keys. If the car horn doesn't deter the burglar then the muzzle flash should do the trick.

You raise an interesting point! If the intruder is not a Wasp, a Hornet or a Yellow Jacket there is a very good chance that you are in the middle of a home invasion, and for this you need to take a different tactic.

First ask the intruder if he minds being sprayed with a lethal blast of Bug Spray that will probably blind him for some time - you need to ask him first because you really do not want to p..s him off at this point in the invasion, then you proceed to spray the h..l out of whoever it may be before you beat him to death with your marble rolling pin. Hopefully it's not a friendly neighbor looking for help.

Does this answer your question?

Much like many other fellow Villagers, I don't need my car keys or wasp spray. We each have loaded .38s and know how to use them.

Great idea about the car keys.
