My oncology pediatric nurse daughter just called me about a problem she thought the Villages could help to solve. On Friday all personnel at Johns Hopkins children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida will be required to wear facemasks even when not working with patients.(they must wear regulation masks when working directly with patients) They were told that homemade masks would do for times when working on reports and doing other nonpatient work. Happily, my daughter thought there must be Villagers that would be able to make masks for them, and to help our workers stay safe. If you are interested , I have all the information you need . Help! If anyone would like to make face masks for nurses working with non infected corona virus patients please contact me. My daughter is a nurse at Johns Hopkins in St. Petersburg and they have been required to wear face masks even when not working with patients and were told that homemade masks would work. But hundreds are needed and if you are interested I can give you more information.
