You know you're from Ohio when:

Vacation" means driving through Hocking Hills or going to King's Island
You know what a real buckeye is, and have a recipe for candy ones
You've seen all the biggest bands ten years after they were popular
You know if another Ohioian is from southern, middle or northern Ohio as soon as they open their mouth

Both my wife and I are B&Rs from the Garden State. I have included a link that gives some of the reasons why we love our state (in addition to greatest state population density, one of the three highest per capita incomes, one of the largest percentage of high school students taking entrance exams and enrolling in college, most dense highway and rail system in the U.S., largest seaport in the U.S., etc.). You can look up any state from this link.

I just returned from my 45th high school reunion in Lebanon, Indiana. I grew up there in the 60's. It was nice to return in July and see lightning bugs, even mosquitos, tall green cornstalks and have home-cooked green beans with bacon and onions in them. I also visited my birth city of Crawfordsville, Indiana. Great small townn America cities in Indiana. Also lived in Huron Mansfield and West Chester (Cincinnati) OHIO. Great Midwest memories!

I spent the 6 most miserable years of my life just north of Columbus, Ohio.

Maybe it's me, but Ohio State fans are basically intolerable.

No, I'm not from Michigan. I'm from New Jersey and went to Rutgers, newest member of the Big 10 (and about to take several beat downs in football this season).

Class, please raise your hand if you know what a B&R is. Now turn to your shoulder Buddy and explain so he will know also.

There is a small city near where I lived in Upstate NY where the pot holes were so numerous that I used to call it "The Holy Land!"

You can take the boy out of New York City, but you can't take the New York City, out of the boy.

Driving is better in the winter because the potholes are filled with snow.

I'm thinking Born & Raised looking at the way he worded it.

Barefoot and religious? Branded and recycled? Bereft and reckless? Bawdy and restrained?
