I have a lot in Ruckersville for sale and the potential buyer wants to drill, I think for water. Is this normal in VA to do so?

If the community does not provide water to the lot, then he is going to have to drill for it. .......assuming he wants to build on the lot. Why would you care what the buyer wants to do with the lot after he buys if from you?

I grew up in VB. Graduated from the then Virginia Beach High School on 25th street. Taught at First Colonial High. Lived here for 18 years. Probably more VB folks here than we know!

We moved here Memorial Day from Chesapeake, Virginia Beach area. My husband grew up in Lynchburg.
To answer your question - if the property has no city water they need a well for drinking water. Otherwise, they may want to drill a well for irrigation or other non-potable use.

We are from Richmond, Virginia, initially moved to Boynton Beach, in Palm Beach County, after 5 years decided to move a bit North where are trees and it looks like Virginia.
