Default Buy everythinig American beginning July 1

I just received this from a very dear "All American" friend and wanted to pass it on. I am leaving now to go to the grocery store and drug store -
will be interested to see how much I will leave behind.

Did you see that Diane Sawyer has a special report this week? They removed ALL items from a typical, middle class family's home that were not made in the USA .

There was hardly anything left besides the kitchen sink. Literally. During the special they are going to show truckloads of items - USA made -
being brought in to replace everything and will be talking about how to find these items and the difference in price etc..

It was interesting that Diane said that if every American spent just $64 more than normal on USA made items this year, it would create something like 200,000 new jobs!

WAS BUYING FOOD THE OTHER DAY AT WALMART and ON THE LABEL OF SOME PRODUCTS IT SAID 'FROM CHINA’

FOR EXAMPLE THE "OUR FAMILY" BRAND OF THE MANDARIN ORANGES SAYS RIGHT ON THE CAN 'FROM CHINA '

I WAS SHOCKED SO FOR A FEW MORE CENTS I BOUGHT THE LIBERTY GOLD BRAND OR THE DOLE SINCE IT'S FROM CALIF.

Are we Americans as dumb as we appear --- or --- is it that we just do not think while the Chinese, knowingly and intentionally, export inferior
and even toxic products and dangerous toys and goods to be sold in American markets?

70% of Americans believe that the trading privileges afforded to the Chinese should be suspended.

Why do you need the government to suspend trading privileges? DO IT YOURSELF, AMERICA!!

Simply look on the bottom of every product you buy, and if it says 'Made in China ' or 'PRC' (and that now includes Hong Kong ),
simply choose another product, or none at all. You will be amazed at how dependent you are on Chinese products, and you will be equally amazed at what you can do without.

Who needs plastic eggs to celebrate Easter? If you must have eggs, use real ones and benefit some American farmer. Easter is just an example.
The point is do not wait for the government to act. Just go ahead and assume control on your own.

THINK ABOUT THIS: If 200 million Americans refuse to buy just $20 each of Chinese goods, that's a billion dollar trade imbalance resolved in our favor...fast!!

Most of the people who have been reading about this matter are planning on implementing this on May 1st and continue it until June 1st or beyond. That is only one month
of trading losses, but it will hit the Chinese for 1/12th of the total, or 8%, of their American exports. Then they might have to ask themselves if the benefits of their
arrogance and lawlessness were worth it.

Remember, JULY 1 TO AUGUST 1st !!!!!! START NOW.

If we can't live without cheap Chinese goods for one month out of our lives, WE DESERVE WHAT WE GET!

Pass it on, America...... BUY AMERICAN !!!!!

I have 6 friends that agree with you 100%. Currently they are in Europe and last year they went to China. Sometimes I get confused.

It's almost impossible to buy strictly American made products. I wish I could do it. Look on the bottom of your computer. I'll bet it says made in China.

I remember hearing that within about 2 years, incandescent light bulbs will no longer be sold. Everyone will have to switch over to compact flourescent light bulbs. Guess where ALL the CFLs are made. China or Mexico and I think all are from China. These bulbs contain a small portion of mercury and cannot be disposed of in normal trash.

I agree somethings just can't be found in a "Made in America" form. But whenever possible I try to buy America. If I can't find it made in America I think about whether I really need it or not often I don't. I never buy any food items that are made in China. I just don't trust them as being safe products. There have just been too many cases of their putting in additives that are potentially dangerous.

An 11 year old Saturn made in Spring Hill, Tennessee. Yes there are probably parts in it that were made outside of US but Saturn cars were as close to total made in USA as you could get. My dad was a lifelong GM guy I've never owned anything but GM....By the way I love my Saturn its my second one and I am really sad I won't be able to get another when I need a new car.....

Stop shopping at the all Chiness store. WALMART Just try and find something Made in the USA in that store. You won't need a shopping cart, just carry the couple items in your hand.

Sometimes I think even the clerks , excuse me, Sales Associates, are educated in China from the blank looks you get when you ask one of them a question.

I just purchased a pair of New Balance brand shoes at Kohl's. They are now manufactered in the USA! I knew the American people were capable of producing our own shoes. Kudos to NEW BALANCE. Support America and NEW BALANCE.

I also only bought American cars until recently. The 2008 Saturn Vue I had until February this year had a Honda engine in it.

Chinese is NOT a race. Chinese is an Ethnicity of the Asians. (i.e. same as Polish is not a Race, but an ethnicity of Eastern European Whites )

WOW. If the clerks at Walmart were educated in China, they would speak two languages. One would be their "regional" dialect ( i.e. Mandarin ) AND the SECOND language they speak would be the REQUIRED English. YES, the CURRENT Chinese students all speak English. How many U.S. students leave High School fluent in TWO languages. Do you think the Chinese are preparing their students for something in the future ???? AND .....VERY sad to say..... The Chinese students know MORE about U.S. History than our own U.S. students. The Chinese STILL hold anger from when Chairman Mao helped the U.S. INTELLIGENCE Agency (before it was called the CIA) so the U.S. could defeat the Japanese. Immediately after WE won the War ( with Chairman Mao's information ) WE tossed the Chinese to the curb. Because we didn't need them anymore. They have never forgotten how WE treated Chairman Mao after the war. In their words " the U.S. used him like a " chou biaozi ".
