Default Bass Fishing

Are there any good spots in the area for bass fishing .... from shore ..... from a small
boat? Are there any local boat ramps?

Once a month the freshwater fishing club meets, and they have maps of places to fish, from shore, in TV. Most lakes outside TV have docks to fish from too.

Regards

I've golfed with several guys who have said there are plenty of bass in TV ponds. One even had a pictures of a very large bass he had caught just a couple days ago.

There are indeed places in/near The Villages where one can find some very nice bass - even some places where you can fish from shore. But - there are some places that you can only fish from a boat.

I still laugh when I think about one time after I had just moved here and went to Lake Harris state park off of Rt. 441 south of The Villages. I pulled in and was stopped at the ranger station at the entrance; when asked if he could help me, I asked if there were places there that one could fish from shore. The ranger took a few steps back, looked at my car from front to back and replied "mister, we got gators here bigger then your car ... you don't fish from shore here".

I guess that it's OK to keep your Bass Boat in your Car Port. especially if I use it 2 or 3 times a week.

I've rented a canoe at Lake Griffin State Park just a few miles south of here. It's a very nice area we just stayed in the river but you can go all the way to the lake in about 30 min by canoe. We didn't catch any fish but saw a lot of gators and many exotic birds. The canoe rental was very reasonable they supplied vests as well.

Somehow seeing gators from a canoe leaves me feeling a little sick.
