Not against the law to drive in the left lane, you just can't block traffic in the left lane. SO what is against the law is to impede traffic in the left lane even though they are breaking the law by speeding. It's the LEO job to catch law breakers. Not Left lane slow pokes.

The driving events here are really amazing. And, it seems that no one, absolutely no one can or wants to do anything about any of it. Yes, lane pokes, yes, crazy zig zaggers, yes people behind the wheel who look like the deer in the headlights, and those staggering out of Happy Hours, multiple happy hours are us.

Have you driven, period?? And yes, they CAN ticket you if you are holding up traffic

BTW, in TV, stop sign means you make an optional slight hesitation before cutting off the person with the right of way

I have driven all over the world and have very strong opinions on who I believe are the Worst Drivers. Now this excludes 3rd world countries.

My vote for drivers who are really terrible..drive constantly in the left lane and are truly Clueless Drivers .... " CONNECTICUT " ...and Rubber Neckers.. Some of the best drivers in America ? .." MASSACHSETTS "...I'm originally from New York...and I rank NY...a B+

I spent 13 months in South Korea 46 years ago and the drivers wore black uniforms with white gloves and a little black police type hat with an official looking yellow armband. The inside of the cabs they had covers over all the seats with frilly decore around the window. Most of the tires would shimmy to a certain extent, and the dents in the hub caps gave off a neat effect. The roads in the DMZ area contained a pot hole every 10 feet or so. Roads were barely two lanes wide with old men with large stacks of stuff on their back were walking down the sides. Usually the cab drivers cruised along about 50 mph, unless people were present and then they slowed to 30 mph. For 300 won, about $1 US dollar, you could hire Kim, Lee or Park to drive you about 5 miles to a club. By the time you arrived, you were ready for a drink.

The other place I've noticed drivers are different, but in a good way, is in Atlanta when I lived there for a year in 1988. The town is circled and criss-crossed with interstates and everyone drives like it's the Charlotte Motor Speedway. If you aren't doing 80, don't get in the left lane or the lane next to that one. Most of the interstates are 4 to 6 lanes wide. When driving through downtown on I-85 and you're looking for landmarks, look quickly, you'll only have about 3 second to see, recognize and say, that's where the Braves play.

I was stationed in England in the early 90's didn't find there Exam's any tougher than USAs. Just different terminology. Like "Zebra crossing". My impression was they are crazy. Motorcycles passing between two cars going the opposite direction at 65 plus on narrow two lane black top. Driving 70 plus in the fog so dense you can see 3 white lines ahead of you.

I felt I was stuck back in the 60s in the USA, oldie songs on the radio, some new cars still had manual chokes, narrow two lane black top roads, some even one lane from villages to villages in spots. Can't comment on Germany. will agree about roundabouts here in the villages, most stop when no traffic coming when all they have to do is yield and go. But, at stop signs the coast through or pull through the signs or white lines across the road when you have the right away you don't know if they are stopping or not, Then, they give you the go to hell look. Before you are in line you have to stop at the stop sign......and preferable BEHIND IT not car length after it!

OK " Topspin Mo " You may be aware that dependents routinely would take a quick trip to France only ot get there Passport stamped to avoid taking the british Driving exam. That loophole has long been closed. You were stationed there in the 90s fine but Mo that was many,many years ago. A person could fail for many reasons one is parallel parking, stopping in a hill and if you broke backed up just a hair on a putting the car in gear ..Fail. Come on the test in England is a Real Test,
