Doesn't anyone blame You Tube for perpetuating and inciting violence? I do.

How about we blame the culprits, not the delivery source. This happened before YouTube.....

I agree with you jbdlfan, but many of those culprits are motivated by seeing their actions on YouTube. I guess it is their 15 minutes of fame.

I cringe, every time I hear about this. Beating up on innocent defenseless people, just makes me angry. Leaders need to "step up to the plate" and teach these people morals and respect for their common man & woman. This is outrageous, and to see innocent people, whether be black or white, just mutilating people, for the fun of it, is something we need to take serious. I saw it on Fox News, about a week or two ago, and hopefully the other News Stations are reporting it also. What makes kids think like this? Now, when we go shopping in malls, or wherever, if we see kids congregating, or walking by, we are going to have that caution feeling. Not a way to live!! I would hope we are a better society then that, and we teach our children morals and respect!! Say it isn't true please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How to avoid being punched-out. Be aware of your suroundings at all times when out in public. If you see anyone approaching you that makes you feel uneasy or fearful, take evasive action, like crossing the street.
Don't think, "oh, I'll be okay" and go against your gut feeling. Don't think, "oh, crossing the street means I'm being prejudiced." Better to be mistaken than take the chance of having your head bashed in. Last edited by Villages PL; 12-01-2013 at 05:03 PM. |

More people were injured while shopping at Wal-Mart this week-end than were injured in a knock-out attack.

It is a sad state of affairs and no question the welfare system of the 60s needs to take a lot of the blame. Women and children living in poverty were forced to not have the father in house -- male home, no money (he can work even if he can't find a job). It made it real easy for a man to abrogate his responsibilities. Worse yet, it forced some good men on hard times to quit being a husband and a father. By the 70s and 80s, raising a child alone was common and nothing has changed. Maybe it is time to consider giving bonuses to men who stay with their families but are having true difficulties finding a job rather than saying there must not be a male presence? There are no easy answers. These people (whether young blacks or Neo-Nazis [both groups are doing it]) have little to no respect for life, even their own. If you're pretty sure you'll be dead long before you turn 30 (and that death will normally be a violent one), there is little reason to act morally. We can try to be vigilant to protect ourselves but, in the long run, that isn't going to help change things. Somehow we need to find a way to teach our impoverished youth of any color that they have value not just to their families but to this society and to themselves. Until that happens, things like this game will only continue occurring and, worse yet, things will become more and more violent.
