Chances are that people who "hate" liver and onions have never had them properly prepared. And they never will, because they're convinced that they hate them.

I never had liver and onions, and I hate them.

Love onions but hate liver and yes I have tried it cooked a verity of ways. It is just something I do not care for and will NOT eat.

Same thing goes for guacamole and cottage cheese.

Need to start a thread on common foods we will not eat.

Default The old side has the best liver and onions

Chips place at Orange Blossom country club has the best liver and onions. No wait no crowd, but thats the old side (sorry the historic side). Good food, good drink prices, he has had some bad reviews, but he has been one of the original chefs out here. One of the few people like myself that actually new Harorld Swartz. We like the historic side. Down to earth people with a good attitude. We still go there twice a week and enjoy the food and service.

I also love the historic side--I call it the "wild side! no rules just fun" The people over there are really down to earth and after paying my taxes this year I am thinking they are smarter too!

I hate lasagna!

The reason there are two polls going is because the group that wants to go out for liver & onions is deciding when and where to go. It's information gathering. No other reason.

Given all the foods I DON'T like/eat, I like liver. Cook it with onions.....but I won't eat the onions.

Go figure! It's just me - I can't help it!

I'll eat the onions for you but I won't go near the liver!!!!!

I have tried liver and onions and never cared for the taste/texture of liver.

Smile I hope everyone is sitting down:

I like liver and onions, although, I probably haven't had it for about 10 years or more. I had it when I went out to a restaurant (on 441) with a friend. The only thing I don't like is when it's hard to cut with a knife. Do you know what I mean? It can be stringy or grizzily?

Why would it not taste good when it has soaked up so much cooking oil? It's usually fried, is it not?
