Default I Found IT

I have been curious why I seem to differ from a few on TOTV yet receive either neutral or positive support from the majority. Well I think I have stumbled onto something that may be at least a partial answer.

Forty Years After Woodstock, A Gentler Generation Gap | Pew Research Center

Some factors that I feel highlight this in The Villages more so than other locations in the country.

1. Retirees here are more active, fun driven retirees than the typical retiree.
2. Folks here in general have traveled more than the norm.
3. Education levels are higher here than in the older population elsewhere.
4. Villagers are better equipped emotionally to live as individuals.

These four observations are (in my opinion) why Villagers tend to be more tolerant of many of the fast changing social issues of our time than the rest of the country. I refer to social issues like Same sex marriage.

So, I ponder:
1. Do I think to young and progressive for my age OR
2. Am I still young enough to think without barriers.

I try to think young every day. My wife sometimes think I'm down right juvenile! Seriously I do try and stay young.

Lou,

I see from the time stamp on your post, it was done at 3:36 am. Such deep thoughts done at such an ungodly hour are the result of either an inability to sleep and nothing was on television OR there was an over indulgence of Bud Light that took place.

Anyhow, I would guess you are thinking young as we all should be doing. You get old when you start thinking old.

Cheers!

LOL I have an 18 year old that needs to go out every morning about that time, then likes a bite to eat so I take the time to post my deepest thoughts. Don't talk about bud light, I am still on my news years diet and that means no beer until I reach my target weight. I plan to be there NLT Friday. Only one more pound to go. So stay away from Cody's Friday night.
