Building a nest in our bird house

I put a house (bluebird) up two weeks ago and it's rented . How do they know?

Aren't bluebirds fun to have nearby!

Our bluebird's (the house to be accurate) this week fledged a second brood since mid March. Last year we had one brood; I think due to having less mature landscaping south of 466A.

We have had as many as three broods in a season at our previous home in GA.

You can see in the photo, one of the kids peaking out the front door, getting ready to leave. Mom and Dad were very proud!

I have been making/providing neighborhood bluebird homes for many years. I am looking forward to doing the same here.
