Try Schitt's Creek on Netflix.

Numb3rs on HULU - Mathematician helps solve FBI crimes.
Green Wing on YouTube free - best classic British humor since Fawlty Towers.
Person of Interest - on HBO MAX - Eye in the sky computer that predicts crimes.
Bones - on TNT - HULU - A forensic anthropologist solves FBI crimes.
Mozart in the Jungle - Amazon -NY Symphony Orchestra shenanigans.

I second that. If they could find the right person, like they did (IMHO) with Bosch, would love to see a Jack Reacher series. It has to be someone close to the 6'5", 250lb. guy in the books - not the 5'6", 150lb. movie version.

Monk was my favorite, also. As someone mentioned, Breaking Bad and it's prequel, Better Call Saul are great as well. Blacklist is another good one. Burn Notice and Early Edition were also good.

Can't believe no one mentioned Justified

Jack Reacher would be a great character in a series and sure need a big fellow for the part. No idea what they were thinking when they cast Tom Cruise.

Could not agree more on Netflix Lucifer. It is funny, crazy, who done it fun with a twist of British dry humor.

And having a number of seasons "in the can" would be very nice too...

I like detective shows and such, but I am open to any type of series if it's interesting enough. To give you a clue to my tastes, in the past I've liked Monk, The Mentalist, some NCIS (the original is all I've seen), sitcoms and various other types of shows. I rarely get hooked on pure drama. Monk and The Mentalist which I mentioned above had something in common...very good detective plots with really fun main characters and a humorous slant in every episode.

Okay, I'm open to suggestions. Again, I will consider any show if it's good.

OUTLANDER IS EXCELLENT About Scotland Highlanders.
