the good thing about 4 year olds is that won't know what they don't see, so there's no worry about trying to see and do everything. I would always plan to go to a place for a meal with characters that circulate. That way I knew my son would get to see them and I didn't have to worry about being in the right place at the right time to meet them in the parks. The character meals can be expensive, but was well worth it to me to not to have to stand in long lines hoping your kid makes it to see the character before they leave. (the characters can only be out in the sun in those outfits for a specific period of time)
