Default Appliances

Where is the best place to buy appliances? Refrigerator, stove, washer dryer?
Have to buy a dryer and washer too so might do them all.

If you need bisque to match existing appliances in your kitchen, Sears is pretty much your only choice locally. They have an appliance store off 441. I'm not a big fan of Sears because of a history of poor customer service but we bought our fridge and dishwasher from them. They do have frequent sales.

If color is not an issue, then I recommend Home Depot or Lowes. We bought our washer and dryer from Home Depot and they also have frequent sales plus an additional 10% off for military retirees.

Doing a "silk" kitchen and would like stainless. Will check out HD and Lowes. Thanks for the info.

Default Appliance Store Recommendation

I had such a great experience with an applicance store thanks to a Village resident.

I have a summer kitchen with a built-in DCS grill. I recently needed a repair and could find no one who could do it --- including people recommended on this site. This went on for many months. Someone suggested I call Jim Balano who lives here, and works for Aggressive Appliances. We spoke to Jim who arranged for a repairman to come from his store in Orlando. Problem solved!!!! Jim's phone number is 352-789-5555. What a great guy. Check out this web site: www.applianceexpertinthevillages.com. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

We just bought new Whirlpool stainless steel appliances, all four, ref, stove, microwave and dishwasher from Appliance Direct in Fruitland Park. They had the best prices and we checked Best Buy, Lowes, and Home Depot. They will match any price. Ask for Andria, the Assistant Manager. She knows everything about all brands, very knowledgeable and she can give you the name of a guy who will pick up your old appliances and give you money for them.

Default Aggressive Appliances

Just realized the link I posted above is pretty useless. Try this one:
Orlando's Major Home Appliance Store | Aggressive Appliances, Orlando FL.

Another vote for Appliance Direct. Have used them over the years to furnish a condo in Orlando.

Nipper: Wow. That is an amazing store according to their website. Some very high end manufacturers e.g. Miele. How were the prices compared to some others?

We have only used Lowe's because their sales are good, delivery included, removal of old one, and if there is a problem they are on it.
