This is important, but does not go far enough. If we should go to war again (hopefully not), there is a risk of offending the enemy. We need to have protocols set up for how soldiers are to address them as well.

I have no problem with the new system. If I was a female sergeant I would definitely prefer hearing "YES SERGEANT" versus YES MA'AM.

Stanford University absolutely DID NOT BAN the word "American." Their IT department put out a list of imprecise and potentially harmful words or phrases they would like to see avoided. The University has issued a statement saying this list does not represent University policy.
'American' and 'you guys' among words considered harmful by Stanford group

Checking before presenting a statement as fact is always a good idea.

But, there's nothing like real facts to take away a reason to be outraged at things that don't affect me.

Where's the fun in that? lol

It’s stupid.

We just got a Thank You email from a 17 year old niece. She signed it with the ‘she/her’ after her name. …..

I really had to rein in my thoughts and words here lest, you know. Don’t want to offend…

Why would you care about offending someone who offended you ? Grow a set.

You have to stand for something or you will fall for anything.

Lindsyburnsy 12-24-2022 08:53 AM

Exactly. Some people always want to say something is political for some reason.
