Default Disposal of Vertical Blinds

I'm having new blinds installed and want to know how I can dispose of the existing vertical blinds. Can I put them out for trash removal? or do I have to hire someone to remove them?

Thanks,

Kathy

If they are in good shape, why not offer them for free to members of TOTV? That's what I did with mine, and they were spoken for in an hour.

Or,

Offer them to Habitat for Humanity?

Easier than worrying about disposal, and may, just maybe, result in a tax deduction.

Or offer them to freecycle.org. The nice part is that there is always someone who has good use for them if they are in decent condition. But, yes, the garbage people will pick them up.

Great suggestions. I will post the measurements and offer them to anyone who may want them for free.

Thanks,

Kathy

Default Disposal of vertical blinds

You can call Sumter County Habitat for Humanity in Wildwood.
They will pick them up also.

Phone - 330-0881, hours are 10 to 4 weekdays; 10 to 2 Saturday (the last time I called)

Habitat for Humanity will not take blinds. I just called them!

I put mine out on the street the day before garbage pickup and they were gone before nightfall.

If you want to get rid of them, just put them out. Too much hassle to try to give them to anyone.
