I absolutely agree; no home in Florida should be without one of these alert radios. Mine runs two tests a week on Wednesdays--one late morning and the other early evening. I have two extras of these radios that were donated to me to be sold as part of a fund-raiser. I would sell them for $10 each. If anyone is interested, please reply to this post. Thank you.

Default Weather radio

We had one since we moved here 9 years ago. When we went to Savannah Center a couple of weeks ago, the person from Villages Safety said you need to buy a new one every couple of years. I purchased a new one and had it programmed by the fire station. It hasn't beeped yet but I bet it will this weekend! Also register with Code Red through the sheriffs' offices.

Thanks Sunny. Nothing yet since 12. Reading directions tests deactivate the tone but should have readout that test went through. Just heard between 4a and 6a tomorrow will have some severe weather coming through so well see. Anybody else chime in please on tips.

Great idea! Also bring milk (for the cookies) water, flashlights, medicine, a battery powered radio, and something to read. And don't forget the pets - OK also your mother or mother in law.
