Default Less is more

Ladies, please keep the perfume down to a slight mist, not a bath!
I'm not even a sensitive person when it comes to things of an olfactory nature, but good grief, I haven't been able to go anywhere in the last month without being attacked with the smells of someone who chooses to bathe in perfume!
Usually, I find men are just at guilty as women, but here lately, it's been the ladies. The square, the movie theater, restaurants... I've gotten up and moved more than once.
While I'm sure nobody here is guilty of this, (and if they are, they're just trying to drown out the smell of dog poop at the mailbox) please spread the word!

PS: And no, I didn't tell the manager, call home warranty, or call Sumter county.

Depending on the woman, the type of perfume and the amount used, it can be rather sensual!

And my wife just rolled her eyes.......

I have to agree with you. I am allergic to scents whether it be from cleaners or perfumes. My throat closes up on me. Occasionally in church we have to move seats and sometimes riding in the car with someone with heavy cologne is difficult. I agree that less is the way to go.

At least with the men, you get a warning in the form of a comb over, bad toupee, full dye job, gold chains, etc. I know adding bad to toupee was redundant, but it is common to do so.

get older their sense of smell diminishes to the point that they have no idea that they put on way to much liquid scent?

What's worse skunk spray or dog doo? When the skunk spray leaves wake and trail outside with the wind blowing for 5 min. it's little much don't ya think! Or when I check mail and nobody around and the skunk spray still in the air.

When I was going to high school in the '60s, Estée Lauder (and a lot of it) was the in thing. Then it was Shalimar and some lemony thing with the word Ten in the name. Gradually fragrance wearing became more subtle. Things change, but some people don't keep up. Maybe they don't read about allergies.

I was in Publix the other day, and there was a very elderly lady with her husband. I could smell her perfume from the next aisle. She was arm-in-arm with him. I had to think he couldn't smell its full strength.

I threw my last bottle of perfume out years ago. Too many people with allergies and a DIL who gets occasional migraines.
