The touch pad in the garage is not functioning consistently.....have to press up/down arrow more than once (to find spot that works).
Are MVP replacements available? Can any brand touch pad replace the MVP unit? Thanks. |

A picture would be most helpful as I would have also assumed you meant the keyboard one outside.

If you plan on staying in your home for some time you might want to consider replacing your MPV system. The MPV openers just seem to wear out after 10 - 15 years no matter how many times you clean the contacts etc. I've replaced 5 of them for friends and neighbors in the last two years. This is in addition to my own when, out of nowhere, my neighbor's remote started opening my garage door. Changing the DIP switch settings did not help. New belt drive system is so much nicer (quiet and reliable).

You can buy a replacement on Rolling Acres Road. It’s located at the very back of the area where you will see all the wooden roof trusts. It is on the right hand side of Rolling Acres as you are driving to 441-27

I just had the same issue...you do not need a new touch pad, just call
Ryan O'Cull. 352-617-0522 He will charge you $65 for a service call, all mine needed was a good cleaning of the circuits on the inside of the unit...took him 10 minutes to clean them and now they work like new... |

The door is operated by a simple contact closure. Just mount a doorbell switch next to it.

I would be careful about that because it doesn't have an emergency "stop" button, which is a safety feature on the wall pad.

A simple second press stops the door and a third press reverses the door.

there aren't any replacements online. Some say take it off the wall and clean the connection with alcohol. It should work.
