Are MVP replacements available?

Can any brand touch pad replace the MVP unit?

Thanks.
Try new batteries.

Look through these on ebay. One should work as a replacement.

I don't think the wall pad uses batteries.

Happened to me once. I accidentally nudged the lock button and would not allow the door to go up or down, double check your lock button.

Default Door control with extra button

Here’s a pic with an extra button next to door opener. Just bridge the two wires across the existing wires on the opener.

You probably just need to remove it from the wall, take it apart, and clean the pad with a q-tip and some rubbing alcohol. Reassemble and remount on the wall. Should take about 20 minutes.

MVP was an odd-ball brand. They did not use the industry standard frequency for their transmitters so none of the commonly available replacements work with MVP systems. Mine lasted about 20 years, went through one start capacitor replacement ($25 at Granger in Ocala), and eventually the motor wore out.

I replaced it with a Chamberlain from Amazon. Installation was not much trouble. The new ones are much lighter. I had to buy a length of perforated steel bar from Ace hardware and cut two seven inch sections to extend the mounting bracket to mate with the old MVP bracket on the garage ceiling.

Is the one you have available an indoor wall mount that allows for programming the code on a new remote?
