Default Crazy weather in Colorado

What's a little Florida sinkhole compared to this (just to put things into perspective).....

Our son said that the weather in Colorado has been fierce lately......

We've all seen the hailstorms, the tornados, etc. on the evening news.....

Amazing photos of the recent mudslide in Grand Mesa.

These bring back some memories of the Slide Mountain mudslide from 1983 near Bower's Mansion and Davis Creek on Memorial Day. I was working by Bower's Mansion pool watching lifeguards and sometimes cooking burgers for them and various others as an Assistant Manager.

I was planning on driving US 50 from Pueblo, CO to Grand Junction, CO and further west to take "The Loneliest Road in America" thru Nevada next week on my trek back to Norcal. Guess I'll have to check if the road is safe when I get to near Pueblo.
