I used to laugh so hard at this funny man. RIP Abe.

I really enjoyed Barney Miller. One of my favorite shows when it was on. https://youtu.be/roHYXrLhmHc

I remember reading the George Burns Biography. He started in Vaudeville, then came radio, then TV. I wonder if Abe did all that also plays.

No one else but that generation will experience that kind of change in media.

Guys like Abe et al were genuine because they all came up the hard way and became genuine talent. Now comedians believe the dirtier they talk the funnier they are.

My wife and I went to the Sharon to hear Johnny Mathias. Johnny Mathias brought in a comedian Upton. He was very funny, very clean had material appropriate and relevant to this audience. I could have listened to him for another hour

Abe Vigoda was a funny guy!

A friend of mine told me he was funny on a show called "Barney Miller", I didn't think the guy that played "Tessio" in the Godfather could be funny. He was right.

I loved the line when he asked Barney for the afternoon off and Barney inquired what the matter was. Fish replied, I have to go down to payroll to prove I am not dead. Strange that it happened in real life with the bogus reporters story.

Abe was a vital/healthy guy, who keep himself in shape, as he was a runner. He daughter said he was never sick.

RIP - Abe

I guess most of you weren't Conan O'Brien watchers. Until Conan moved the show to Hollywood in 2009, back in NY abe Vigoda was a semi-regular skit player on the show. Kind of like Larry Bud Melman on Letterman. Last Night Conan and Andy his announcer, talked about Abe and then ran a video of many of his skits. He mentioned sometimes they would think up an idea and call Abe three hours before showtime and he would be there. Here'a a time when he was Abe Vi'yoda'.

Here's a link to Conan's comments and the highlight video.
