Part of past job was to follow what the CPSC was doing, so I could keep our customers updated, and be knowledgeable myself of trends and product related issues.

I generally agreed with what they did, but this smacks of being a thinly veiled attempt to push the climate change agenda. Gas stoves have been used safely for years, and the CO is really only an issue for defective equipment or sensitive individuals. As others on this thread have noted, stoves can be ventilated as can all gas-fired equipment, removing the issue. If the CSPC wants to push a requirement that all gas ranges be vented to the outside, I wouldn't necessarily disagree.

But ban them? That's a bridge too far for something that for the vast majority of us, is not an issue.

Put the washer on the “Heavy Duty” cycle. That will cause it to add more water.

Did you read any of the nearly 80 studies listed above? Did your educators teach you scientific literacy? Do you understand the mechanisms by which air quality impacts small airways especially in children? Have you learned about the indoor air quality of homes with gas stoves vs those with electric stoves? Do you get all your news from Fox et al or do you read JAMA and the New England Journal of Medincine and BMJ, and Pediatric Clinics of North America, and J Peds? Now who is stupid in this discussion might be interesting.

Right ! I don't think the population needs any more gas-lighting, we've had plenty lately !

Good bet they are on "the list"... air pollution. I do wish we could find the actual comparison on these things. Such as, although gas golf carts, autos, etc. contribute to air pollution, does the PRODUCTION of additional electricity just produce ADDITIONAL air pollution ? There is so much innuendo to all of these types of things. How can one know the actual ratio of how much electricity is generated from coal burning plants, or what is the actual cost of electricity generated by a nuclear facility after considering LONG RANGE disposal costs of radio active water, etc. etc. The problem with all of this is, the headlines are meant to appeal to the EMOTIONAL side of individuals, and all analytical, rational, logical, and SCIENTIFIC thinking process goes "out the window" so to speak ! Another example ? Plastic shopping bags, save a tree, good for the environment, yes, something to consider of course. But, isn't it also rational to NOT include the emotions ("save our trees") and look into the effect of job loss in timbering, lumber, paper making ? Look into re-forestation, the effectiveness of cycling harvesting and planting ? THEN compare to "plastic" grocery bags... which are LESS costly to recycle back into bags, plastic or paper ? How many people are employed in production compared to paper to compare (if any) the negative job loss. What about the cost of production of the petroleum to produce "plastic" bags compared to harvesting trees ? It is amazing how we humans will pick up the latest new, "shiny" headline... and everything we learned in college about logic and rationality, goes "right out the window".... !

Default Government overreach

After the debacle of the jabs leave it to the government to find something else to screw up.
I looked over the "studies" what a crock

You make a good point. I grew up with gas stoves in my parents home for many, many years. No one in the family developed asthma. There's another agenda behind all this.

The powers that be claim to want to protect consumers from harm but yet there is a scheme to depopulate the planet. It's all BS being fed to us. Hopefully most of us don't but into the lies.

Ditto. This is fake news from climate alarmists. This is no different than the fake claims that DDT causes cancer. The more someone can scare you -- the more likely you will act emotionally versus logically. And ... polar bear and corals are doing just fine too.

I grew up around gas stoves too. I simply don’t believe the studies, as a researcher I have a good idea how one can bias the results to read what they want. There is some kind of agenda here and I’m not buying it.

Correct -- it's part of Agenda 2100, where the UN actually believes it can fight climate change by going to Net-Zero, population control, etc...

They will have to pry my gas stove from my cold dead hands.
