My wife has been seeing Lauren Tafur, ARNP for almost ten years. She is extremely knowledgeable and thorough. She works with her husband Dr. Angel Tafur.

Female GO
I go to Lake Family medicine, and see Hannah, a new PA w the practice. Owner is Dr. John Burress on CR 466 across from the American Legion Hall. You park at Recreation Plantation RV Park. It’s a nice office and I liked Hannah. Been going to the practice for over 10 years.

Start with your insurance company to see who in the area is covered then search for those doctors’ names on TOTV and the Nextdoor websites.

Check out Premier Medical Associates, 352-259-2159. They have offices in Spanish Springs, Sumter Landing, and Lady Lake. My wife just loves her GP (female).

The Villages Health does accept many insurance plans for patients that are not yet Medicare qualified. It’s only after you have Medicare that they only accept Medicare Advantage plans offered by Florida Blue and United Healthcare. Here’s a link to the plans they do accept from non-Medicare patients.
<https://thevillageshealth.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/2431-TVH-Accepted-Insurance-Flyer-Update-v4.pdf> Villages Health has many female primary care doctors in their various offices. My wife sees Dr. Ashley Wood at their Creekside office and likes her a lot. Go to The Villages Health website to see all their doctors, nurses, and physician’s assistants, showing their personal information including education, residencies, and certifications.
